Judging by his previous works, we have no doubt he will make us shudder with fright. The film is shot in Barcelona, Spain and in New York. Timothy Gibbs, Michael Landes, Brendan Price and Wendy Glenn play the lead roles in the film. They are accompanied by Montse Alcoverro, Salome Jimenez, Angela Rosal and Benjamin Cook. The movie is produced as a joint venture by Capacity pictures, Canningo Films and Epic pictures. The trailer of the movie had won positive comments from both the critics and the fans.

Synopsis of 11-11-11

A famous American author named Joseph Crone is devastated after the death of his only child and his beloved wife. Timothy Gibbs plays the role of Joseph Crone. Joseph’s brother and ailing father live in Barcelona, Spain. He decides to visit them for a change. But, nothing goes by his plan and he experiences some strange encounters with ghostly figures. He is haunted by the appearance of number 11 everywhere.

Joseph explains his situation to his brother, who cease to believe him at first, but later threatens him that he is been possessed by evil spirits. Obsessed with number 11, Joseph sets out on a mission to find out the truth behind this horror, with the help of his companion Sadie. They discover 11-11-11 is a warning about the entrance of a deadly spirit into our world on the doomed date. The number 11 refers to the eleven gates of heaven. The eleventh gate will open for 49 minutes on 11/11/11 unleashing hell on earth. Joseph tries to prevent the catastrophe which is beyond his power. Watch whether the world was saved on the big screen.

The Truth about 11:11

Just like 2012 rumor, numerous conspiracy theories surround the 11:11 date as well. Historians point out so many important events which have taken place on the 11th. There is an 11:11movement which alerts people about the horror date. The members of the movement claim they are contacted by angels and spirits who warn them about the sign. An author called Uri Geller has written a book on the concept. Some numerologists and astrologists even claim the day to be very auspicious in opposition to these threats. There will be no end to such comments and rumors until November 11, 2011, passes without any catastrophe.

Movie Review: 11-11-11

This movie is the very first attempt of the Oscar-winning, iconic Martin Scorsese as he ventures into family films. It is also the first time that he is trying his hands at 3D film making. Therefore, expect the film to equally appeal to children, older elementary students who may have read the novel and film buffs who take their movies seriously. This adventure is supposed to be an exceptional family pick for the upcoming holiday season; especially with its supporting cast of A-list stars, young stars Chloe Moretz and Asa Butterfield, and the legendary director, Martin Scorsese. Look forward to some tense scenes and peril as the adventure unfurls.

The latest trailer of the Hugo adventure was released on October 26, 2011 and it comes with a tone that is a great deal more serious than the trailer which was previously released in July. This most recent trailer features “Breath and Life” by Audiomachine, which is incidentally the very same music that was used in the previews of both The Fighter and The Adjustment Bureau. This is in sharp contrast to the first trailer which was released in July and featured cheerful and upbeat music. The first trailer came with “King and Queens,” the song done by 30 seconds to Mars and it offers more on the playful chase of Hugo with the lumbering inspector of the station (Sacha Baron Cohen). This recently released trailer depicts Ben Kingsley more as Georges Méliès, the ground-breaking French filmmaker.

The film rights of the book were bought in 2007 by Martin Scorsese and he began filming in London at the Shepperton Studios since June 2010. This adventure film also stars Johnny Depp, Richard Griffiths, Emily Mortimer, Marco Aponte, France Dela Tour, Ray Winstone, Helen McCrory and Christopher Lee.

A holiday reliable for the tots.

“Bolt,” playing in 3-D in some theaters, will also keep parents reasonably amused. It’s devoid of any special new style. Rather, this is yet another talking animal animation movie with ultimately flawless technique, if not the Pixar Studio productions finesse. Its action is so smooth and real.

And y’know, there’s a question at this point in time that bothers me. Like,…um…why?

Why? Well now, recollect for a moment the Looney Tunes classic characters Bugs Bunny, Wile E. Coyote, Yosemite Sam, Elmer Fudd and Daffy Duck. And the visual design behind them. Taken as a whole, there was an intended cartoonishness of the visuals, that is, their disconnect from reality was actually part of the comic effect. The characters and the technique were not supposed to be reality; they were supposed to be essence – lampoons of the way people are. The action, especially the exaggerated mishaps that befell them (like in the roadrunner cartoons), had to do with what would happen to people if the laws of physics did not exist (like when Wile E. Coyote was hammered into the ground or blown up, then was seen in the next scene none the worse for wear). There was no audience requirement, no yearning, for seamless motion, toning, shadow effects and other ironed-out action, like as if what we were seeing on the screen in these cartoons was somehow imperfect.

By contrast, modern animation characters now require for their funniness witty dialogue, dramatic story elements, context and situation to ignite laughs. Those characters of old had irony, wit and urgency built in. They were immediately funny. You were chuckling before they even did anything.

So here’s “Bolt,” dressed impeccably in modern digital dress.

Gee, you sure don’t want to see a poor doggie disillusioned.

But that’s the story of Bolt. As a hit TV show star, this white hound lives in a world of staged adventure, peril and scripted villainy – he can demolish a company of soldiers, a fleet of trucks and helicopters as he leaps and soars. All by special effects, of course. As such, he’s been notably ill-equipped to descend into the real world with real everyday events. And that’s just what happens. Inadvertently, through his owner Penny’s inattention which has caused her to be distracted by a sleazy movie agent, he finds himself being shipped off from Hollywood destined for New York City.

The problem here is that he’d always thought that his great feats and special powers that had been set up for him on the TV shows were real, that he actually had those capabilities. Now he’s finding that he’s been deluded. He’s going to need some aid as he seeks out just whom he is.

Help will arrive in the person of a traveling companion, Mittens, who is a burned out, abandoned and emaciated housecat, and, in an RV camp, Rhino, a TV-obsessed hamster who rolls around in his plastic ball. Slowly but surely he’ll realize that he doesn’t need all those superpowers to be a hero.

First off, Mittens advises him that nothing he thinks is real is really real. He must learn to be, well, – a dog. Like he should enjoy sticking his head out of car windows to catch the breeze. And certainly to mix with other dogs. And it’s kinda cute when they get into a pre-fab home in transport in which Mittens can show Bolt what Man’s Best Friend is supposed to do around the domestic scene.

Mittens’ arguments with Bolt are vigorous but lifeless of screen energy. That’s all they are, bicker and banter. And what’s all this about Bolt’s fear of Styrofoam? Whatever, it ain’t funny.

Still, this is all for the kiddies. Let ‘em have fun with it. There’s a lot to be said for innocence.

It was was written, directed, co-produced, and co-edited by James Cameron, who also won the Academy Award for best director. ‘Titanic’ became the highest grossest movie of all time, earning .8 billion at the box office, until it was surpassed in 2010 by ‘Avatar’, another movie by James Cameron.

The story concerns two young people from different social classes – Leonardo DiCaprio appears as Jack Dawson and Kate Winslet has the role of Rose DeWitt Bukater – who fall in love while aboard the doomed maiden voyage of the Titanic in 1912. Although the love story is fictitious, many of the characters – crew and passengers – were based on those who were actually aboard the real vessel.

For instance, the brash Margaret “Molly” Brown (played by Kathy Bates) was famous for her heroic efforts (not shown in the movie) of trying to save drowning passengers. She later became known as the “Unsinkable Molly Brown”.

There were many scenes in the movie, although only briefly touched on, which added greatly to the emotional impact of the inevitable sinking on passengers and crew. Two historical characters were Isador and Ida Strauss. Isador was a former owner of R.H. Macy and Company and was also a former NY Congressman. In the movie, his wife Ida has a chance of leaving the ship in a lifeboat but declines and returns to her husband, saying she will honor her wedding vow and remain with Isidor. She is last seen embracing him as they lie on a bed in their stateroom, with the water rushing in.

Layers of emotion are added with other scenes that depict obvious heroism by crew members. Joseph Bell, the Chief Engineer, and his men work desperately until the last moments to maintain the power for lights and so distress signals can be sent. All are lost.

Wallace Hartley, the bandmaster, and his orchestra, continue to play uplifting music to the very end, even as the ship sinks.

The two lovers, Rose and Jack, initially come together when he rescues her from a suicide attempt brought about by her despondency at a loveless engagement, having been pressured to marry a wealthy suitor, Cal, because of her family’s financial needs.

Jack is scorned as inferior by Rose’s mother and Cal but he does manage to attend a stuffy first-class dinner, where he renews his acquaintance with Rose and their bond deepens.

The next day, Rose defies her mother and Cal and goes to the bow of the ship where she meets Jack, realizes her feelings for him and the two passionately embrace. They then go to the privacy of Rose’s stateroom and she asks him to sketch her wearing only the Heart of the Ocean, a blue diamond necklace which was an expensive engagement gift from Cal. She later leaves the sketch in Cal’s safe.

While attempting to escape from Cal’s bodyguard, Rose and Jack enter the cargo hold where they enter one of the cars stored there and make love on the back seat.

They witness the collision with the iceberg and overhear the lookouts discussing how serious it is. Rose and Jack decide to warn her mother and Cal but, in the meantime, Cal has discovered the nude sketch of Rose and furiously plants the necklace on Jack; then accuses him of stealing it. Jack is arrested and taken below deck, where he is handcuffed to a pipe.

The emotional elements of the ‘Titanic’ are very powerful, with the later scenes showing the aftermath of the collision, the desperate attempts of those aboard to find shelter on a lifeboat, or the brave acceptance of their fate. As there were not enough lifeboats, more than 1500 passengers and crew perished in this catastrophe. Throughout, the musical score strongly reflects their feelings and the dangers they face. The closing song, ‘My Heart Will Go On’ (sung by Celine Dion) won an Academy Award and two Grammies. Following the success of ‘Avatar’, a 3-D version of ‘Titanic’ will also be released.

The Plot of Good Luck Charlie It’s Christmas!

In Good Luck Charlie: It’s Christmas, the Duncan family are making a roadtrip to Palm Springs to visit the Blankenhoopers, who are of course Amy’s parents. Imagine that, having a last name like the Blankenhoopers! Of course, the name is just the beginning of what is going to be a very funny movie, with unexpected detours, encounters with alien abductees and more.

Their problems begin when they pick up an elderly couple in Roswell, New Mexico who think that they have been abducted by aliens. When strange and unexplainable happenings start cropping up, they decide to ditch the weird couple and find a different way of getting to Palm Springs. That’s not the last of their problems, and they’ve still got to survive stolen luggage and the Christmas celebrations with the Blankenhoopers! This is not for the faint of heart people, but good for lots of laughs certainly. It certainly lives up to its title – Good Luck Charlie: It’s Christmas!

When Is the Movie: It’s Christmas Coming Out?

Since they announced the release of the Duncan movie, It’s Christmas, in March 2011, there’s been a lot of speculation about the release. Of course, now that we know that the movie is going to be Christmas themed, we can reasonably expect it to be coming out in December 2011. At the moment, the specific date and time of release is still up in the air, but as always you should be able to get the latest information from the Disney website. So in the meantime while you wait for the release of Good Luck Charlie: It’s Christmas, get your seasonal treats ready for a fun filled two hours with your family in front of the TV enjoying the movie, it’s going to be great!

Good Luck Charlie: It’s Christmas – The Movie!

RED starts with a slow opening, leaving you unsure of what to expect. I think it was marketed this way on purpose, leaving the result of this movie to be a total surprise to its viewer. Its plot hits almost everyone in a good way, whether it be Romance, Action, or Comedy. It is similar, in a way, to Burn After Reading, but in a good way. It has a form of independence that is not seen to often these days. It is well worth the price of admission.

RED stands for “retiRED and extremely dangerous” and follows Frank (Bruce Willis) a former CIA agent who is forced back into the job of killing, running and smashing skulls when he is randomly attacked after years off of duty. RED has a story that is better scripted and has loads of humor and romance, but what RED really has that many action movies never can match is two strong female leads who don’t normally make a living in action films. RED is based on the DC Comics graphic novel of the same name by Warren Ellis.

It is about four people, three of them, Frank, Joe, Marvin, and Victoria all used to be the CIA’s top agents – the fourth is a government worker involved with pensions. Unfortunately, they seem to fall in the spotlight of some bad people. When you throw in the CIA and a few corrupt people, bad things tend to happen.

Final Review:

Overall, RED is one of the best movies around. In the top three I have seen this year. It’s not the actors or actresses that make this movie what it is (although they do help). What it truly is, is a wonderful combination of popular genres. That makes it so this movie can really be enjoyed by any demographic.
